Vietnamese President Tô Lâm will meet Danish business leaders and visit a quantum laboratory during his state visit to Denmark from 19–21 October.

Denmark’s Royal House published the detailed programme on 13 October, adding business meetings, scientific demonstrations and political talks to the previously announced visit.

On 20 October, Tô Lâm and King Frederik X will join a roundtable with Danish business leaders. They will then attend a conference at the Confederation of Danish Industry, focusing on green solutions, health and food.

Both will address the conference, alongside the organisation’s CEO, Lars Sandahl Sørensen. Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen will also attend.

Quantum technology and political talks

The previous day, the King and Tô Lâm will visit the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. The programme includes a quantum technology demonstration and a tour of one of the institute’s quantum laboratories.

Tô Lâm will also deliver a speech at the University of Copenhagen on 19 October and meet Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on 20 October.

As ScandAsia previously reported, the visit marks 55 years of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Vietnam. A Vietnamese business delegation will accompany the president.

The programme remains subject to change.
