Four foreigners were rescued off the coast of Calayan Island in Cagayan, the Philippines, by Philippine Coast Guard personnel and were sent to the Bureau of Immigration on Wednesday, 8 February 2023.
They were a 19-year-old Swedish, Sazid Hazan Shiek, and Peruvians Richard Ventura, 48; Victor Palomino, 57, and Ulian Oswaldo Ventura, 52.
According to Phil Star, a report said that the four went sailing in the Pacific ocean in December 2022, but their boat encountered a mechanical problem and ran out of fuel.
However, they were found in the boat with good physical condition, Ensign Jessa Pauline Villegas of the PCG-Northern Luzon added.
