Who is turning 25? ASEM – the Asia-Europe Meeting!
As a political dialogue forum, ASEM has since 1996 acted as an informal and open setting to foster dialogue and cooperation between Asia and Europe. Hosting both high-level and people-to-people engagements, ASEM seeks to addresses political, economic, financial, social, cultural, and educational issues of common interest to our regions. On Sunday the 7 March, the 25th anniversary was celebrated with a virtual event: ‘A Passage to Asia – 25 centuries of exchange between Asia & Europe’. The virtual celebration also includes a dialogue on new forms of cooperation between Asia and Europe within arts and culture.
