Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt welcomed Finland’s Ambassador to Thailand, Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos, on Monday 24 February 2025 to discuss cooperation on waste-to-energy, water purification, digital technology, and education.
The meeting at Bangkok City Hall covered initiatives such as infrastructure development, air quality improvements, and AI-driven public services. The Finnish Embassy also invited Bangkok officials to visit schools implementing Finland’s curriculum.
Bangkok and Finland have maintained strong ties, with past collaborations including Nordic community events and waste-to-energy projects utilizing Finnish technology.
