The Governor of Bangkok, Chadchart Sittipunt, will visit Copenhagen from Monday 16 to Thursday 19 June 2025 as part of an official programme to explore Danish expertise in sustainable urban development, green technology, and climate adaptation.

The visit comes amid Bangkok’s transformation into a more liveable and climate-resilient metropolis. Facing challenges such as air pollution, flooding, waste management, and traffic congestion, the Thai capital is looking to Denmark for solutions.

According to the Danish Embassy in Bangkok, the visit reflects an expanding partnership between Denmark and Thailand in the field of green transition. During his stay, Governor Chadchart will meet with Copenhagen’s Lord Mayor, the state-owned infrastructure company Sund & Bælt, and green innovation platform State of Green. He will also engage with leading Danish companies including Novo Nordisk, Ramboll, Henning Larsen, cBrain, Combineering, and RLG – all known for human-centred sustainable solutions.

The programme includes site visits to flagship projects such as the ARC waste-to-energy plant, Copenhagen’s Nordhavn urban redevelopment area, and nature-based climate initiatives in Amager Nature Park.
