
Cambodian First Lady Dr Pich Chanmony Hun Manet has received the Princess Benedikte Award during an international gathering of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in Siem Reap, according to Agence Kampuchea Presse.The award, named after Danish Princess Benedikte, was presented as Dr Pich Chanmony was also appointed National President of the Olave Baden-Powell Society in Cambodia.
According to the organisation, the appointment recognises her longstanding commitment to youth development and empowerment.
The award ceremony took place during the 39th World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and the 42nd annual gathering of the Olave Baden-Powell Society, held in Cambodia from June 14-19.
