China Eastern will launch the first direct flights between Stockholm and Shanghai on 22 June.

China Eastern Airlines will launch direct flights between Stockholm and Shanghai on 22 June.

The new route will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

The direct connection will allow travellers to fly between Sweden and Shanghai without transferring through another airport, reducing travel time for both business and leisure passengers.

Shanghai is China’s largest city and a major financial and commercial hub. The city also serves as an important gateway to destinations across China and Asia through China Eastern’s extensive regional network.

China Eastern is one of China’s largest airlines, carrying more than 140 million passengers annually. The new Stockholm route expands the airline’s European network and strengthens air connectivity between Scandinavia and Asia.
