The Chinese city of Shanghai and the surrounding coastal regions have canceled all flights, suspended train traffic, and barricaded businesses ahead of Typhoon In-Fas’ expected arrival on Sunday afternoon local time.
The Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai is also preparing and writes the following in a recent update:
“Customer Service of the Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai will be closed on Monday 26 July due to weather conditions caused by Typhoon In-Fa.
The Consulate General advises people in the area to avoid going out if unnecessary and follow the instructions from the local authorities.”
The typhoon is expected to hit the eastern province of Zhejiang, while central China is still recovering from huge floods that have killed at least 58 people and forced more than a million people from their homes.
