Copenhagen Energy has received the Green Lane Certification from the Philippine Board of Investments, energynews reports. This allows the company to quickly move forward with its BuhaWind projects. The certification cuts down the approval process, enabling faster construction of wind farms along the coast.

These projects are vital to the Philippines’ shift to renewable energy. By using the country’s strong winds, Copenhagen Energy will help reduce its dependence on fossil fuels. The goal is to reach 50% renewable energy by 2040.

The certification also boosts investor confidence, making it easier to attract support for more green energy projects in the Philippines.
