Danish tourist, 79, dies after being found on Pattaya beach

Danish tourist found unresponsive on Pattaya beach. He was pronouced dead at the scene.

A 79-year-old Danish tourist was found unconscious on Ping Pha Beach in Pattaya, Chonburi, on 26 January. Emergency responders attempted treatment and CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, local media reports.

Pattaya City Police identified the man as Bent Rosenkrands Christansen, 79. Police said he had been walking on the beach earlier with his Danish wife.

According to initial inquiries, the couple became separated and a search began. The man was later found face down on the beach, and officers believed he had been swimming.

Police said there were no visible signs of assault, external injuries, or missing belongings. Investigators recorded the case and said they are coordinating with the relevant embassy on procedures and arrangements.
