The mother of a 19-year-old Thai woman who died after falling from a condominium in Pattaya is seeking a renewed investigation into the circumstances of her daughter’s death, including the possible involvement of her Danish boyfriend.
The woman, identified by The Thaiger as Jarupitchaya, also known as Cream, fell from the fourth floor of a condominium in the Khao Phra Tamnak area of Pattaya on September 13. She died at Chon Buri Hospital three days later.
On October 24, her mother, Pathumma, approached the non-profit organisation Saimai Survive to request further scrutiny of the case.
Mother questions original explanation
According to The Thaiger, the mother said police had previously told her that her daughter had been hallucinating after taking drugs, attacked her boyfriend and jumped from the building. She said she was not satisfied with that explanation.
The mother also alleged that her daughter had suffered physical abuse during the relationship and said security camera footage appeared to show the Danish man carrying her injured daughter back to their condominium room rather than taking her directly to hospital.
These claims have not been independently established, and the report does not provide a response from the man.
Ekkaphop Luangprasert, founder of Saimai Survive, said he would raise the family’s concerns with the commissioner of Provincial Police Region 2 and the Ministry of Justice.
The Thaiger reported no updated findings from a renewed investigation as of October 26.
