Finland and Singapore are strengthening cooperation in digitalisation, artificial intelligence and sustainable construction following a high-level industry meeting in Singapore, In Diplomacy reports.
The event, hosted by the Embassy of Finland in Singapore on 25 June, brought together representatives from Finland’s construction industry and Singapore’s built environment sector.
It followed a recent study visit to Finland by participants from Singapore’s BCA Academy Executive Development Programme, where they explored Finnish approaches to Lean practices, digital innovation and productivity.
The discussions focused on how new technologies can improve efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and support more sustainable urban development.
Several Finnish companies also presented solutions for smart buildings, construction technology and industrial engineering.
According to the Embassy of Finland, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to expanding long-term cooperation in the built environment sector.
