Finland supports innovation project in Vietnam

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ho Chi Minh City has joined together with the Alliance of Mechanical and Technological Businesses and the Hoa Sen Vocational College to launch an innovation project which will focus on the creative growth of various branches of the Vietnamese government and society.

The Finnish-backed project will mainly focus on two groups; representatives of numerous faculties including universities as well as business support centers, and young entrepreneurs who aim to start up technology-related companies.

A total of 8 million euros has been spent on the project since its birth in 2009. The money is spent on financial support of start-ups and assisting expertise for aspiring contractors and has also laid the foundation for a stronger technological cooperation between Vietnam and Finland.
