Finnair gets new CEO

Finnair has named Topi Manner their new CEO, and he will start his new job in January 2019.

Finnair has on 4 September announced that Topi Manner will replace current CEO Pekka Vauramo in January 2019.

Topi Manner has a career in management positions at Nordea, the largest financial group in the Nordic countries. Since 2016 he has worked as a member of Nordea’s Group Executive Management and as Head of Personal Banking.

“Topi Manner has extensive experience in both private and corporate customer business, and he has played a strong role in the digital transformation and customer service development of his bank,” says Chairman of the Board, Finnair, Jouko Karvinen.

Finnair’s current CEO, Pekka Vauramo leaves Finnair to take on the role of CEO of Metso Group. Untill Topi Manner starts his job as CEO, Chief Financial Officer, Pekka Vähähyyppä, will act as an interim CEO.
