Finnish Ambassador to Vietnam Keijo Norvanto has completed his tenure in Hanoi, marking the occasion with a farewell meeting with State President Luong Cuong on 15 August.

Ambassador Keijo Norvanto began his posting in Hanoi in September 2021, when he formally took up his role as Finland’s Ambassador to Vietnam (and Laos).

President Luong praised the ambassador’s contributions during a period of growing cooperation between Vietnam and Finland, particularly in areas such as digital transformation, renewable energy, education, and forestry. He emphasised that Finland’s long-standing support has played an important role in Vietnam’s development.

Ambassador Norvanto said he was honoured to promote cooperation in education, research, and innovation during his posting, and reaffirmed Finland’s readiness to support Vietnam’s ongoing reforms and deepen bilateral and EU-level cooperation.
