IKEA is celebrating 30 years in Malaysia, highlighting its long-standing presence in Southeast Asia and its role in shaping everyday home living for many Malaysians.
Since entering the Malaysian market on 25 April 1996, IKEA has introduced its flat-pack furniture concept and functional home solutions, which have become widely adopted in homes across the country.
According to IKEA Malaysia, the company has grown alongside changing lifestyles, adapting its products to suit both smaller urban homes and larger family spaces. The retailer said its goal remains to offer affordable and practical home furnishings.
Country Retail Director Malcolm Pruys said the anniversary reflects the support of customers, employees and local communities over the past three decades.
To mark the milestone, IKEA Malaysia will host a series of events and promotions from April to August, including in-store activities, collaborations and seasonal celebrations.
