On 30 November 2016, the board of the Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce announced that a new Secretary General had been appointed. This was written in an announcement by the President of DTCC, Thomas Nyborg. So from 18 December 2016, Michael Andersen will be the new daily leader of the chamber’s executive office.
“Michael Andersen is already familiar with the chamber’s activities, as he has held a board-seat since being elected at the AGM earlier this year,” Thomas Nyborg writes in the announcement.
Michael Andersen has more than 30 years of experience working with Asia, and he will join the Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce from Bangkok-based L.V. Technology PCL to which he has been the general manager since November 2013.
Prior to that, Michael Andersen has held positions in Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs it’s Ministry of Environment and Energy, as well as positions in a number of private enterprises.
With a bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies from the University of Copenhagen, Michael Andersen speaks, reads and writes Thai, and he has acted as an official interpreter and translater of Thai and Lao for Denmark’s police and courts, including the Supreme Court.
The new Secretary General to DTCC will be welcomed officially at the DTCC networking event at the Danish Embassy in Bangkok on Thursday 15 December 2016, starting at 18.30.
