The Government of Singapore, ASEAN CSR Network, ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights and the United Nations arranged a seminar 3-4 November in Singapore gathering over 100 participants from governments, private sector, trade unions, civil society and academia. The purpose was to discuss a regional strategy on Corporate Social Responsibility, business and human rights. The level of engagement showed a growing interest for businesses’ contribution to the implementation of the Agenda 2030 on sustainable development.
Sweden supports Asean CSR Network through the Embassy in Bangkok and was represented by Sweden’s Ambassador to Singapore Håkan Jevrell, Sweden’s Ambassador for sustainable business Diana Madunic, Charlotta Bredberg and Maja Forslind from the Development Cooperation Section in Bangkok.
