The Norwegian hydrogen company, Umoe Advanced Composites, has opened a 12,000 square metre factory in Jiaxing, China, where it has begun producing hydrogen storage cylinders as part of its expansion in Asia, according to H2View.
Cheaper and closer to Asia
By producing in China, the company can lower costs and get closer to fast-growing markets in Asia. CEO Lars Erik Lunøe said the new factory will make it easier to deliver products at a competitive price.
The company is not yet selling its products in China but is working on getting approval to enter the local market.
