Norwegian intelligence report: Russia and China remains the greatest threat

According to Nils Andreas Stensones, Chief of Norwegian Police Security Service (PST), China and Russia remain Norway’s greatest threat in terms of intelligence. The statement from the Chief of PST came Monday while he presented an annual report with a forecast for 2021. “In terms of intelligence, Russia and China will remain the greatest threat,” Nils Andreas Stensones said, as quoted by NRK broadcaster.

The PTS report shows that in 2021, Chinese and Russian intelligence operations conducted on the internet will account for the largest of their activities in Norway.

In addition, the PST noted the threat of terror attacks and a possibility of mass riots triggered by pandemic-related lockdown restrictions among other threats to national security.
