The Norwegian salmon producer Marine Harvest has announced plans to open a new plant in China this year.
The company already has six plants spread across Asia, but as the relationship between Norway and China bettered, the market has once again opened for Norwegian export of salmons.
According to the media Just-Food, the plant will be established in Shanghai, but no official date was specified.
Marine Harvest already owns and operates six plants in Asia – one in Taiwan, South Korea and Vietnam and three plants in Japan.
