Register: SwedCham breakfast seminar ‘Covid in the Office: Legal Considerations for Companies’

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong invites you to join their breakfast seminar: Covid in the Office: Legal Considerations for Companies on 29 June at 07:45 – 09:00 at the Nordic Innovation House on Hong Kong Island.

More about the breakfast seminar:

Can a company force its staff to get vaccinated?

What if an employee refuses to come to the office because it is not deemed “safe”?

Is it a good idea to insist on regular Covid testing in the workplace?

Employers have been wrestling with a myriad of new questions since the onset of Covid-19. As part of the Hong Kong government’s “Early Vaccination for All” campaign (launched May 31, 2021), employers are asked to “encourage their staff to get vaccinated, and to arrange vaccination leave or other facilitation measures”.

How do companies approach these challenges in a prudent yet constructive manner? How can employers play their part in the effort to open Hong Kong back up again, without compromising the rights and freedoms of employees?

In this seminar, leading corporate and employment lawyers will share their expertise and experience with our members. There will be plenty of time for questions.

Speakers:

Alex Liu, Partner

Henry Siu, Senior Associate

Kyle Ho, Trainee Solicitor

Moderator:

Kristian Odebjer, Lawyer

Breakfast is included but in a take-away format.
