
Norwegians who are new to Singapore are invited to a social and informational gathering at Sjømannskirken on Saturday 31 January 2026.
The event, titled New in Singapore, is organised in cooperation with Team Norway and aims to welcome newly arrived Norwegians while also offering useful insights into everyday life in the city-state. Established residents are also encouraged to attend.
According to the organisers, the day is designed as an informal meeting point where participants can ask questions, meet other Norwegians and receive practical information from Norwegian institutions in Singapore.
Representatives from Royal Norwegian Embassy in Singapore, Innovation Norway, Norwegian Business Association Singapore (NBAS) and Sjømannskirken will be present.
The programme includes information about daily life in Singapore, such as where to find goods and services, cultural norms, activities, and tips for adapting to the climate. There will also be opportunities to ask questions during the session.
The event runs from 12:00 to 15:00 and begins with a shared taco lunch, followed by an information session and informal networking.

The event takes place at Sjømannskirken, 300 Pasir Panjang Road, Singapore 118640.
Participation is open to adults, students and children. Tickets with food included are priced at SGD 30 for adults, SGD 20 for students and SGD 15 for children under 12. Free tickets without catering are also available.
