The Study in Sweden online fair will give students in Asia an opportunity to meet Swedish universities on 28 November. The free event offers information about degree programmes, applications and student life.

Hosted by the Swedish Institute, the Asia-Pacific fair brings university representatives together online. Visitors can ask questions directly and explore their options before deciding where to apply.

Participating institutions include Chalmers University of Technology, Lund University, Umeå University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).

What can students learn?

Chalmers representatives will answer questions about the university’s master’s programmes and how to apply. Lund University will offer opportunities to speak with staff and student ambassadors about studying in Lund and living in Sweden.

Umeå University will provide information about international degree programmes, admissions and student life. SLU will discuss study opportunities in areas including sustainability, life sciences, forests, food systems and the environment.

The format allows prospective applicants to explore several universities during the same event. Students can use the conversations to compare programmes and ask practical questions about their preferred study destinations.

The event follows other Swedish education activities in Asia this autumn. ScandAsia previously reported that eight Swedish universities would meet prospective students in Hong Kong at an event on 13 October. The November fair offers an online opportunity for students across the region.

How to join the Study in Sweden fair

The English-language fair runs from 11am to 2pm Swedish time on Saturday, 28 November.

This corresponds to 5pm–8pm in Thailand and Vietnam, and 6pm–9pm in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Participation is free, but visitors must register in advance. After registering, they will receive personal login details by email.

Visitors can join at any time during the opening hours. They do not need to attend the entire three-hour event.

Prospective students can find further information and register through the organiser’s website.
