Sweden’s next ambassador to Singapore appointed

The Swedish government has appointed Mr Niclas Kvarnström to become Sweden’s Ambassador to Singapore.

Niclas is today ‎Director, Deputy Head of Department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia – ‎Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Sweden. He has previously served at Sweden’s representation at the United Nations in New York, the embassy in Beijing and also worked in private businesses.

“The cabinet has appointed me as the next Swedish Ambassador to Singapore. Proud and excited to return to Asia to promote Sweden and observe this dynamic region. Will, however, miss working with great colleagues on Eastern Europe and Central Asia!” Nicklas wrote on Twitter following the announcement.

Niclas Kvarnström will commence is role as ambassador on 1 September 2018.
