Swedish ABB partners brings Happy Hearts and clean water to East Nusa Tenggara

ABB is partnering with Happy Hearts Indonesia to bring sustainable clean water to schools in drought-hit East Nusa Tenggara.

Swiss-Swedish ABB’s Motion business in Indonesia has partnered with Happy Hearts Indonesia on the “Water for All” programme. The project aims to provide clean water for schools in East Nusa Tenggara.

The initiative targets a province that faces severe drought conditions. Indonesia’s development agency Bappenas has projected rising water scarcity through 2030.

ABB said its support is part of its corporate social responsibility work in Indonesia. Chen-Kang Tan, Vice President and Head of Motion at ABB in Indonesia, said clean water affects health and children’s futures.

Happy Hearts Indonesia said the partnership will help it reach more schools in remote areas. The organisation also builds learning spaces, including libraries, to support literacy.
