Thailand and Denmark seek closer ties through innovation and technology partnership

On 11 September, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen hosted the “Thailand-Denmark Innovation Ecosystem Partnership Forum” through the Thailand and Nordic Countries Innovation Unit (TNIU) at the Thai ambassadors residence.

More than 30 organizations participated, including Thai organizations like Techsauce Media, SEA Bridge, and science faculties and programs from Chulalongkorn University,  alongside over 12 Danish innovation agencies such as Kalundborg Symbiosis, Copenhagen Capacity, BioInnovation Institute (BII) Danish Life Science Cluster, and Dan-Thai Net.

The event was planned to let the participants exchange ideas in education, research, technology and clean innovation while creating business opportunities and enhancing market acces between thai and danish innovation agencies.

The opening remarks were delivered by H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, who highlighted Thailands potential as a hub for innovation, investment and manifacturing in sectors as agriculture, science, healthcare and clean energy.

The thai delegation also visited and met with executives from Danish innovation agencies HOFOR and Digital Hub Denmark.
