Coming up: Official opening and blessing of new Norwegian Church in Pattaya

The new Norwegian Church in Pattaya will officially be inaugurated and blessed on Thursday 5 September 2019. The program starts at 12.00 with speeches and reading of greetings from overseas. Around 13.00 the consecration Christ service will start presided over by Ørnulf Steen, Secretary General of the Norwegian Seamen’s Church.

After the service there will be Church coffee and cakes. From 15.00 to 18.00 there will be Open House and Grill BBQ Party in the garden.

Members of the congregation are all invited for this important and activity filled day.

Other Scandinavian expats in the Eastern Seaboard area are also welcome! The Danish pastor Christa Lund Herum and the Swedish vicar Erik Stenberg Roos Vicar and his wife Anna Stenberg Deacon are invited and can hopefully make it.

The new Church and Community building held its soft opening on 15 June 2019, offering the community to start using the impressive new location and with a Christ service followed by warm waffles and coffee of cold soft drinks. The service started at 11.00 and was also a service for the confirmation of the young Norwegians this year.

The following Saturday the regular Saturday Porridge lunch also moved to the new building.

Construction of the impressive new home of the Norwegians in Eastern Seaboard started last summer. See the photos below from the construction site in June 2018.
