Denmark’s ambassador to Vietnam, Lina Gandløse Hansen, raised challenges facing Danish companies during a meeting on 29 September.
She met Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Truong Thanh Hoai. According to the ministry, Hansen presented concerns and recommendations from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), Vestas and Carlsberg.
These concerned project implementation, policy frameworks and future business development. However, the report does not identify specific barriers or projects.
Ministry to review proposals
In response, Hoai said the ministry would coordinate with relevant authorities to consider the companies’ proposals under Vietnamese law.
He also encouraged Danish investors to transfer technology, train Vietnamese workers and strengthen local supply chains.
The meeting followed ministry talks with CIP and Vestas in Denmark about offshore wind and technology. Hansen said Danish companies wanted to expand their long-term operations in Vietnam. ven.congthuong.vn
