The Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam has donated more than 100 artworks from its Denmark in Your Eyes painting competition to E Hospital in Hanoi.

The paintings were handed over on 11 September by Danish Ambassador Lina Gandløse Hansen. They will be displayed in several departments at the hospital, including paediatric and mental health units, with the aim of bringing more colour and a positive atmosphere to patients, families and medical staff.

The artworks were selected from more than 130,000 entries submitted to the 2025–2026 edition of Denmark in Your Eyes, which had the theme “Green Living”. The competition encouraged Vietnamese primary and lower-secondary students to express ideas about environmental protection and sustainable development through art. The number of entries was a record for the competition.

The competition was organised by the Danish Embassy together with the Vietnam–Denmark Friendship Association. The 2025–2026 edition marked 10 years since the competition was first launched in 2016.

The donation comes as Denmark and Vietnam mark 55 years of diplomatic relations. Alongside the paintings, the Danish Embassy also donated children’s books by Danish authors and Danish toys to patients at E Hospital.
