Danish garment manufacturer Spectre has opened a new factory worth approximately US$30 million in Vietnam, expanding its manufacturing operations in the country and creating around 3,000 jobs.
The new facility is located in Vietnam’s Hung Yen province and is designed to combine garment production with more energy-efficient manufacturing processes.
According to the company, the factory incorporates automation, artificial intelligence and renewable energy solutions. These measures are expected to reduce its environmental footprint, with annual carbon dioxide emissions estimated to be around 1,600 tonnes lower than conventional production.
The opening marks another step in Spectre’s expansion in Vietnam, where the Danish company has established a growing manufacturing presence.
With the latest facility, Spectre has now opened its fourth factory in the country. Its total investment in Vietnam has exceeded US$60 million.

Vietnam becomes central to Spectre’s production
Spectre has increasingly concentrated its manufacturing operations in Vietnam, making the country central to its international production strategy.
The company’s investment also reflects Vietnam’s position as an important manufacturing destination for international garment producers, particularly those seeking to combine competitive production costs with increasingly demanding environmental standards.
For Danish businesses, Vietnam offers opportunities in manufacturing and supply-chain development, while also presenting challenges related to sustainability, energy consumption and production efficiency.
Spectre’s latest investment illustrates how Nordic companies are participating in the development of Vietnam’s manufacturing sector while introducing technologies intended to make production more sustainable.
