Danish sailor Jeppe Borch won the Macao Match Cup after beating Sweden’s Oscar Engström 3–2 in the final.

Danish sailor Jeppe Borch won the 2026 Macao Match Cup in Macao on 29 March, beating Sweden’s Oscar Engström 3–2 in the final.

Borch, sailing with his Borch Racing crew, secured victory after a five-race contest on the Macao River. After taking an early 2–0 lead, he was pushed to a deciding race as Engström levelled the match.

The final race saw close pre-start action, where Engström received a penalty after contact with Borch’s boat. Borch maintained the lead and crossed the finish line to claim the title and a 30,000$ prize.

Earlier in the day, Engström advanced to the final with a 3–2 win over American sailor Christian Prendergast. Borch reached the final after a 3–0 victory against Sweden’s Johnie Berntsson.

Berntsson later secured third place by beating Prendergast 2–1 in the petit final.
