The Thai ambassador to Denmark, Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, opened the event “Muay Thai Experience Copenhagen 2026” on 14 March at Matrikel 1 in Copenhagen.
Organised by the Thai Trade Center in Copenhagen, the event gave participants a chance to train with renowned Muay Thai champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 – also known as “The Kicking Machine” – who competes in ONE Championship.
Fully booked
All four training sessions were fully booked shortly after registration opened, reflecting the growing popularity of Muay Thai in Denmark.
In her opening remarks, the ambassador described Muay Thai as more than a combat sport, highlighting its role in Thai culture and traditions such as the wai kru ritual performed before fights.
She added that Muay Thai also serves as a form of cultural diplomacy, helping strengthen people-to-people ties between Thailand and Denmark.
