New Board for Norwegian Business Association China

A new board was elected for the Norwegian Business Association China at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of 2018 on 7 March in Shanghai.

“Norwegian Business Association China is an important partner for Norwegian companies and the Norwegian government in China,” said The Norwegian Ambassador to China, H.E. Mr. Geir O. Pedersen, in his opening remarks, reported NBA China.

The main object of the AGM was to elect a new board who will spearhead the NBA and lead the organization forward. The newly elected board consists of Christian James-Olsen (Chairman), Morten Sten Johansen (Shanghai), Wilhelm Blomdal (Shanghai), Per Askeland (Shanghai), Ben Zhang (Shanghai), Rudy Hassam (Shanghai), Wenche H. Andersen (Shanghai), Dan Bjørke (Beijing), Willy Johansen (Beijing), Andreas Friis (Beijing) and Jon Eivind Stø (South China).

The board is looking forward to developing the organization further and continue the many projects previous initiated.

An important objective for NBA in 2018 will be to deliver benefits for our members, such as high quality events with one or two arrangements per month and networking opportunities. In addition NBA will increase activities in Beijing & South China and keep testing different forms of events. It has also been agreed to take a more active part in high-level visits from Norway to China as well as having a closer cooperation with other Nordic Chambers.
