On 1 June 2021, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila announced:
We continue to support the Bangsamoro Women as facilitators, convenors, and mediators in sustaining peace in Mindanao through the UNDP Philippines. Norway continues to promote its national action plan on Women Peace and Security in Mindanao.
Norway currently serves as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the period 2021-2022.
