The Ministry of Health and the Embassy of Denmark joined hands to organize a workshop on Diabetes on May 29.
“Vietnam is among the countries in the world with the highest growth rate of diabetes affecting people in all age groups and from all social classes. We highly appreciate the active role of the Ministry of Health and the support of the Danish company Novo Nordisk in addressing this serious health concern” says Danish Ambassador John Nielsen. “Novo Nordisk is a world leading company in diabetes prevention and I hope by being involved in this workshop, that we are able to showcase the importance of public-private cooperation in improving access to medical services and treatment for people with diabetes in Vietnam,” shares John Nielsen.
Around 100 specialists and representatives from major international and local health institutions participated in the workshop to discuss challenges and solutions in dealing with diabetes.
