Update on the Consulate General and Trade Council China’s May activities

In their recent May newsletter, The Danish Chamber of Commerce in China reports on the Consulate General and Trade Council China’s May activities in China.  

The Trade Council China has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, and Taipei while also covering Hong Kong. They help Danish businesses create value from Denmark to China and contain an ever-evolving knowledge base on the Chinese market.

Consulate General

During May Consul General Mr. Jakob Linulf had meetings with Huzhou FAO, newly appointed Consul Generals to Shanghai, and hosted the monthly Consul Generals luncheon. The Consul General also went to Chuzhou to meet with the Mayor and visited the Danish companies Sanovo and Carlsberg.

The Consul General opened the SIAL exhibition and visited Danish Crown at the EU Pork pavilion. The Consul General was also invited to speak at the Xuzhou 2021 Yangtze River Delta (Shanghai) Investment Promotion Conference by Xuzhou government.

On 28 May the Consul General tee off the first Consul Generals Charity Golf Cup organized in collaboration with the Consul General of Chile, Chilean Businessman Daniel Demke to raise money to Hearts to Hearts under the Shanghai Charity Foundation. A big thank you to Danisa, Danish Crown, and Boxon for your sponsorships and the 9 Danish golf players for your participation.

Trade Council China, Shanghai

30 Danish food-related companies have signed up for this year’s CIIE 5-10 November and the Danish pavilion will be 500 sqm compared to last year’s CIIE with 23 companies on 300 sqm.

Consul General Mr. Jakob Linulf and Commercial Consul Mr. Jesper Halle opened Royal Copenhagen’s first flagship store in Shanghai.

Commercial Consul Mr. Jesper Halle also participated in the 2021 Jiangyin (Shanghai) Foreign Industrial Cooperation Symposium and opened LEGO’s House of Dot’s exhibition at Daning Plaza.

Innovation Centre Denmark, Shanghai

On May 27th Jakob Linulf, Consul General, and Martin Rune Hoxer, Director of ICDK Shanghai participated in LEO Pharma’s pitch event discussing developing trends in the international dermatology industry, together with investors and industry leaders.
