Policy makers from Vietnam and Norway gather in Vietnam to exchange experiences and information on fisheries management.
During the first week of October, the Norwegian Embassy in Hanoi, Innovation Norway and Vietnam’s Department of Fisheries host an event for Vietnam and Norway to discuss topics related to fisheries sector.
“After over 30 years of cooperation, we see great opportunities for extending our marine cooperation in a more commercial and technical direction during the years to come. Norway and Vietnam also share a common interest in a sustainable ecosystem,” said Ambassador Designate Grete Løchen.
Speakers from Norway’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, Directorate of Fisheries and Norwegian companies discuss how Norway effectively combats illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing. They also discuss how satellite and other equipment can support this.
