FLS Shares Knowledge With the Vietnamese Cement Industry

On 8 November 2005 the Embassy of Denmark in cooperation with Vietnam National Cement Corporation (VNCC) will host a seminar for the Vietnamese cement industry.
At the seminar, the Danish company FLSmidth, a long-term supplier of the Vietnamese cement industry, will share information on the latest developments and new technologies within cement production.
“FLS has made a tremendous contribution to the development of the cement industry in Vietnam and elsewhere in the world. They have set an great example in commercial cooperation here in Vietnam,” says the Danish ambassador Peter Lysholt Hansen.

Decades of cooperation in Vietnam
FLSmidth has been active in the Vietnamese market for several decades and has a strong reputation for providing quality products.
FLS was among the very first companies to participate in the rebuilding and development of Vietnam after the war came to and end in 1975.
FLS is continuously developing its concept for future oriented cement plants and would like to share their visions in this regard with Vietnam.
Currently three FLS designed plants are producing high quality cement to the Vietnamese market, the famous Hoang Thach I+II and the recently completed Tam Diep.
A fourth FLS plant is currently under construction in Haiphong and expected to be completed before the end of 2005.  In April this year FLSmidth signed a new contract to build a production plant in Ha Long and a grinding station in Ho Chi Minh City.
