
The Chinese Embassy in Denmark marked the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with a film screening and cultural event in Copenhagen on July 10, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Denmark reports.
More than 80 guests from the diplomatic community and various Danish sectors attended the event, which was jointly organised by the Chinese Embassy and the China Cultural Center in Copenhagen.
Chinese Ambassador Wang Xuefeng addressed the audience, referring to a recent speech by Chinese President and Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping. According to the embassy, the ambassador said the Communist Party would continue to lead China’s development and expressed China’s willingness to strengthen cooperation with countries including Denmark.
The programme also featured a performance by diplomats from the embassy of the song Without the Communist Party of China, There Would Be No New China. Guests then watched the Chinese film My Country, My Parents.
According to the Chinese Embassy, participants spoke positively about China’s development under the leadership of the Communist Party and the country’s contribution to global peace and prosperity.
The event formed part of the embassy’s activities to commemorate the anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
