Five Vietnamese participants have taken part in this year’s LoCoFoRest programme in Sweden, alongside peers from Laos, Thailand, Nepal and Ethiopia, according to the Embassy of Sweden in Hanoi.
The programme offered the fellows an opportunity to explore Sweden’s natural environment and diverse culture while learning about forest management, land rights, conservation and sustainable development.
To Bich Ngoc, a sustainability communicator with 15 years of experience, described the programme as a transformative journey.
“LoCoFoRest was not just a training programme – it was a transformative journey of learning, connection, and inspiration. I truly believe LoCoFoRest doesn’t just deliver projects – it nurtures a generation of doers, changemakers, and community builders for a greener, more sustainable future,” says To Bich Ngoc.
Applications for the 2026 LoCoFoRest programme are open until 31 August 2025 via the Swedish Forest Agency’s website.
