Representatives from Thai authorities and organisations visited Denmark last week to examine how waste can be turned into a resource. The programme covered household sorting, municipal collection, reuse and recycling, as well as biogas and waste-to-energy solutions.

The study tour was organised by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (DEPA) and the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangkok, offering first-hand insights into Denmark’s circular waste management system.

The visit forms part of the Danish–Thai Strategic Sector Cooperation on Circular Economy and Waste Management, which aims to share best practices, strengthen policy development, and support Thailand’s transition toward a greener, more circular economy.
