Danish Officials Visit Beijing and Shanghai

A delegation of Danish senior officials, led by Permanent Secretary Uffe Toudal Pedersen from the Ministry of Science, is visiting Beijing and Shanghai from 28 August to 2 September. In the delegation there is further six Permanent Secretaries from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Environment, Climate and Energy Ministry, Ministry of Integration, Food Ministry and Treasury. In addition, a number of Director Generals for various parts of the central administration are participating. 
According to the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing, the purpose of this visit is to understand China and its impact on Denmark better, but also to look at opportunities for further collaboration in the future. The program includes talks with Chinese leaders, ministries, academics and Danish businessmen. 
Future growth opportunities in Denmark depend largely on development in the BRIC countries – including China – and Denmark has to understand and relate to China, when you talk about Denmark in the future.
