Finnish education know-has gained visibility in China during October.
The Finnish way of education has been in focus in China due to two events in October.
On 15-16 October Finnish Minister Ms. Tarja Kangaskorte attended the Chengdu Education Forum where she introduced the Finnish education system. She also promoted Finland as a good destination for educational travel or camp tours for Chinese children.
In addition, there was e.g. a class demonstration of phenomenon based learning by EduCluster Finland.
In the third week of October there was an international education forum at the North China University of Technology in Beijing regarding corporate and education cooperation between Finland and China.
Minister Kangaskorte gave the opening speech and the Finnish embassy’s new Counsellor for education and the embassy’s new Counsellor for education and science Ms. Mari-Anna Suurmunne participated in a panel discussion.
Besides the Embassy, also Finnish Business Council Beijing and Nokia attended from the Finnish side.
