Lego and Novo Nordisk sign up for China International Import Expo

The Danish companies, Lego and Novo Nordisk have recently signed up for the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2021 scheduled to run for five days in November at the National Convention & Exhibition Center in Shanghai, China Daily reports.

To attract foreign companies to sign up for the expo, CIIE has held a range of online promotional events with the latest hosted by The CIIE Bureau and Confederation of Danish Industry. More than 30 Danish companies participated in the event and according to Liu Fuxue, deputy director-general of CIIE Bureau, more than 60 percent of the planned business exhibition areas have been booked.

The online promotion events have led to a positive response from companies from all over the world and a previous event attracted more than 100 South Korean companies. According to Sun Chenghai, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, South Korea is one of the most important countries for the CIIE as many of the nation’s companies have participated in the expo over the past three years and the expo is a good platform for the development of bilateral trade.

CIIE’s 2021 business exhibition will feature six exhibition areas including Food and Agricultural Products, Automobile, Intelligent Industry, and Information Technology, Consumer Goods, Medical Equipment and Healthcare Products, as well as Trade in Services.
