Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Espen Barth Eide, will visit China from 10 to 11 November at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
The visit aims to strengthen trust and expand cooperation in trade, energy and green transition. “The visit will help consolidate mutual trust and promote steady growth of bilateral relations,” said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning.
China is Norway’s largest trading partner in Asia, with trade reaching USD 10.18 billion in 2024. Ambassador Vebjørn Dysvik said seafood exports continue to grow and that Norway hopes to introduce its famous brown cheese to the Chinese market.
Green development, renewable energy and climate cooperation are expected to be key topics in the meetings.
