The 15-year-old Danish warmblood gelding Fredensdals Fountain has been sold to Malaysia as a schoolmaster and potential competitor for the 2026 Asian Games.
Bred by Linda Falensteen and Martin Strange, Fredensdals Fountain is by Fürstenball out of Gioia (Stedinger x Michelangelo). He was initially licensed as a stallion at the 2013 Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning but was later gelded to focus on a sport career.
Under Danish rider Michael Sogaard, Fountain achieved early success in national young horse competitions and progressed to Prix St. Georges level by 2017. He made his international Grand Prix debut in Falsterbo in 2022 and went on to compete at the Danish Grand Prix Championships.
In 2024, Helene Melsen rode him to a team gold medal at the Nordic Baltic Championships. Most recently, he was shown at small tour level in Denmark by Ulrik Falbe-Hansen.
The horse has now been acquired by Malaysian rider Jenny Khor through Falbe-Hansen and trainer Dennis Fisker. However, Fountain will remain based at Randbøl Dressage Academy in Denmark, where Khor will travel to train and compete.
“Fountain will be a great schoolmaster for Jenny who wants to develop her riding,” says Dennis Fisker, who also coaches Malaysia’s top dressage rider Qabil Ambak.
“He is such a gentleman and gives a lovely ride every time.”
Khor also owns the promising 5-year-old Birkelys Diego (by Hesselhoj Donkey Boy x Sam Sam), which Fisker competed at the 2024 Danish Young Horse Championships.
