Danish luxury audio brand Bang & Olufsen has opened its first Culture Store in Southeast Asia with the launch of a new flagship boutique at Scotts Square in Singapore.
The 2,853-square-foot store is also the largest Bang & Olufsen Culture Store in the Asia-Pacific region and opens as the company celebrates its 100th anniversary.
Unlike a traditional electronics showroom, the new concept is designed to resemble a luxury home, allowing visitors to experience the company’s speakers, televisions and headphones in realistic living environments rather than on display shelves. The flagship includes dedicated listening rooms and private consultation spaces where customers can test products in carefully designed acoustic settings.
Bang & Olufsen CEO Nikolaj Wendelboe said Singapore was chosen because of its role as a regional hub for design, culture and commerce.
“Singapore’s position as a global hub for culture, design and commerce makes it the natural home for this next chapter of our retail story and a gateway to the wider region,” he said.
The flagship also showcases the company’s focus on craftsmanship and long-term product durability. Among the highlights is the Beolab 90 Titan Edition, an ultra-exclusive loudspeaker introduced as part of Bang & Olufsen’s centenary celebrations and available through the company’s Atelier programme.
The company says the Culture Store concept reflects a shift away from traditional retail, instead presenting its products as part of complete living spaces. Rather than focusing on technical specifications, the flagship is intended to let visitors experience how Bang & Olufsen products fit into everyday life.
