China’s foreign minister Wang Yi met Norway’s foreign minister Espen Barth Eide on 14 February.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

Wang said China views China–Norway relations as strategic and long-term. He said China is ready to expand exchanges and deepen cooperation across fields.

Wang also spoke about multilateralism, multipolarity, and the UN Charter. He said all countries should participate equally and follow international law.

Eide said Wang’s conference remarks aligned with Norway’s views on global governance. He said Norway wants stronger dialogue, WTO coordination, and continued support for free trade.
