”Women’s Empowerment Photo Challenge” Winner announced

Swedish Embassy’s ”Women’s Empowerment Photo Challenge” Winner: Naruemon Chaingam

Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok announced the winner of the ”Women’s Empowerment Photo Challenge” to be “The Big C (Conversation)” by Naruemon Chaingam

This is how Khun Naruemon describes her photo:
Cancer forces you into a difficult conversation. As a woman, as a mother – time, loss and death are the hardest words to face.
This photo shows me facing my new reality, my new femininity. During my chemo I lost my sense of self. But I was empowered simply by conversations with other women. I fought back. Then two weeks ago I received the amazing news of a remission from non-hodgkin’s lymphoma.
I am lucky… for now my conversation continues.
Thank you for sharing your story and for this powerful photo.

Description: Being a base for a man is not so common in acro yoga, but this photo shows the alternation of positions. Typically, doing this kind of yoga, it must be a man who can support the weight of the other person. This picture shows the equality and strength of the female gender. Breaking the wall of old standards and showed that women are also strong, physically and mentally.
